Since 1976, he has participated in numerous excavations in Sudan (Saï, Sedeinga, el-Hassa, Selima, Kerma, el-Hobagi, el-Kadada, Gereif, preventive excavations on the 4th cataract, …) and has trained several Antiquities Inspectors to fieldwork.
