Excavation of the urban Meroitic site of El-Hassa. Presently focusing on the excavation of the temple of Amun in collaboration with the NCAM and in partnership with the University of Shendi. An archaeological field school, associated with this scientific project, was created in 2004. The Sudanese inspectors of excavation and university lecturers complete their field documentation techniques training as part of the cooperation between the SFDAS and the NCAM.

Publication in partnership with the IFPO (French Institute of the Middle East) of a tribute volume for the late French archeologist, Patrice Lenoble.

Publication of Kush, journal of the Sudan Antiquities Service in collaboration with NCAM and with the financial support of the Cooperation and Cultural Service of the French Embassy in Khartoum: n°19 (2009); n°20 currently in preparation.
